Ready or Not...Here I Come!

Monday rolled around waaayyy to quickly!  Not ready to go back to work, not ready for school, and needless to say I definitely don't think that I'm totally ready for this here 30 for 30!  Speaking of challenges, I devoted myself to yet another one-The Capsule Wardrobe Challenge.  Now why in the hell did I go and do that?  Because...well....uh...why wouldn't I?  It's pretty much the same concept as the 30 for 30 but with fewer items and even less days to work with.  I challenged myself to pick out 10 items from the 30 item wardrobe that was already chosen, and I have 5 days to remix those babies.  Pretty simple, huh? LOL-we shall see, right!? The challenge begins on February 14 so you have more than enough time to decide whether you would like to participate. If so, you may sign up here  I will give you an update on my 10 items as soon as my camera is in working order again.

Aside from that, my weekend was pretty regular.  Nothing too exciting-I'll save all the excitement for Valentine's Day (wink, wink)!  I do, however, want to show some gratitude for those who have visited my blog and left lovely comments thus far! I thank you kindly!

My fave comments of the week are:

1.  "Your blog title rocks. And Micky D's oatmeal isn't bad. That's from a self-proclaimed oatmeal snob. I hat breakfast. Except oatmeal. And Redbox is the bomb. Except when you get weird looks from people for standing infront of said box and theorizing about how the movies get in there. {???}"
2. "i'm loving your layers and you're the second person i've seen pair green with navy. what a wonderful combo that i wouldn't have thought of! and very cute necklace too."
 3. "I got your link from "the undomestic momma." I def. agree with your mantra! Looking forward to reading more of your posts."

VROOM VROOM...Start it up!!

As I sit and graciously ponder over my wardrobe, I think I've finally pulled my items together for Kendi's 30 for 30 Challenge. It going to be sooo tough for me to stick to this because I want to give all of my cute little threads a chance to get noticed. Also I'm afraid that although this challenge was designed for us to make use of what we already own instead of purchasing new things, I highly doubt that this will curb my spending habits! Hell I admit I loovveee shopping; as long as there's a great deal, give me all the cards my hands can hold. Nevertheless I'm stoked to see all of the remixers and the creative mixes that they come up with..this challenge has always managed to get lots of participants so I'm hoping to add some new flyness to my blogroll.

Without further ado, here are my 30 pieces. Keep in mind that the majority of my fits are worn to work so you won't see alot of trendy items (ie-skinny legs, extremely high heeled stilettos, etc) just the classics ladies, just the classics. Just for good measure though, I will post those 'outfits that didn't make it'. Here goes my very first 30 for 30 winter collection.....

And what do you know...after all of this preparation...I'm still missing one item!! Un-freakin'-believable! Ugggghhhhh!!! My camera is dead at this point so I will disclose the item on Tuesday when the challenge begins.  Til next time...toodles and thanks for reading!

This is a New Age...You're Like my New Craze...

Happy Friday!!! My first matter of business is to enter into this great giveaway hosted by Kileen at Cute and Little-she also hosts the marvelous Color Brigade series. Go on over and enter yourself...the contest ends tonight at 1159pm.

So as curiosity has it, I'm always dying to know what my bloggirlfriends do to makes their sites look so gorgeous-how they manage to take such great pics and what types of software they use to edit their pics, etc.  Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not a technology geek by far, but my interest is always piqued about things like this.  Just so happens, the topic today's Friend Friday post hosted by Modly Chic is none other than Blogger Mechanics.  Here goes:

1. What technology do you use in blogging? I've always loved taking pictures.  My friends sigh in disgust everytime they see me pull this red dodad out of my purse.  They hate that I have to take pics of absolute everything.  It wouldn't be me if I didn't.  For the moment, I just use a regular smegular ole Samsung but I do want to upgrade to a Canon or a Nikon CoolPix in the near future.

2. What computer and online technology do you use? Since I'm still pretty new at this, I use the basic version of everything.  Photobucket stores my photos and LunaPic and FotoFlexer edit them, and my HP allows me to post, check emails, and peruse other blogs.

3. What is your process for taking pictures? I try to take pics first thing in the morning, before I get worn or randomly spill ranch dressing on the front of my shirt (because I'm a klutz).  I haven't found an outside location yet for reasons of cold weather and absence of a photographer.  So I'm currently just shooting my pics at work-before I actually begin working of course and that seems to be doing the job until better options become available.  I usually take about 8-10 shots and choose the best 3-4-making sure to get a close-up, a full body, and an accessory shot if I want them emphasized. I would love to take more 'going-out' pics but our nightlife sucks here in Virginia and I hate going out in the cold.

4. When it comes to backdrops for your photos what do you consider? Do you scout location or do you shoot the same spot daily?  Hopefully once the warm weather hits, you can get a better picture of what I look like outside of work.  I would love to find some nice backdrops and locations but then the issue comes up with people gawking at me like I'm crazy while I'm shooting so we shall see what the weather brings.

5.If you could splurge and get one new piece of equipment what would you be buying?  Definitely a better camera!

On to my next game....Fill In the Blank Friday:

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. If my house was on fire and I could only grab 3 things I would grab my camera, my scrapbooks, and my journals...I believe that memories should last forever...the other things like clothing and shoes can be replaced.

2. A smell I really like is Far Away by Avon. My grandmother used to wear it when I was small and now I can't get enough of it.  I have 3 bottles in my closet!

3. Something you might not know about me is that I won the 'Best Dressed' superlative in high school.  Happened eons ago but it's still relevant because this is a fashion blog, right!?

4. This weekend I will still be organizing and cleaning not only my closet but my whole living abode! It's a hot mess!  I will also be searching for more cool blog hops to participate in!

5. Nothing makes me happier than spending time with my family.

6. A bad habit I have is not putting things back where I got them from around the house. Hence the reason I have a crapload of stuff to clean up now!

Beginning on Tuesday, I will be participating in Kendi's 30 for 30 Challenge so in trying to pick out items for that I don't have an outfit post for you today but you may swing by her page and check out all of the items she's chosen to throw into her remix.  This shall be fun!!

The Square Root of 69 is 8 Something...

The more things become awesome, the more awkward they get!!! It's a cloudy Thursday morning and I would much rather be at home suggled up in bed with a good book then to be here at work!  Maybe I could even watch a good movie...speaking of which, check out my 'Word on the Street Wednesday' feature where you can share your thoughts about new movies, good books, music, or even a cool shindig you attended. Since my life is somewhat of a reality show in itself, I've decided to keep a running log of all of my awesome and awkward moments because there are too many for me to remember otherwise.  This week my list is as follows:

Awkward
-I made an impromtu visit to the mall the other day to pay a couple of bills and I figured I would stop by my one of my favorite stores-NY & Co.  I spent 10 minutes browsing around and noticed two sales associates engaged in a full fledged conversation.  Of course they didn't notice me-I'm just a customer right.  A customer who was willing to spend major money.  So I decided to walk by them, humming loudly as I did so, hoping thay they would detach themselves from their ever so interesting conversation and at least acknowlegde me.  Guess what? They didn't... and guess what else? I happily marched out of the store and went and spent my money elsewhere.  I hate rude people. Like why would  you expect me to spend my hard earned dollars with you if you can't even say hello to me. Awkward!!

-I loves REDBOX! As I was getting a new movie the other day, I noticed some ladies standing behind me waiting.  After finishing I nicely offered my coupon code to her for a free rental.  "Oh, I already used it," she snobbishly barked! Well exxxxccccuuuussseee me, I was just trying to be generous but I guess that didn't work because again people are rude and put themselves on an imaginary pedestal.  Besides that, how do you know that you already used the exact same code that I had? What a wench!

-Grown people that constantly need to borrow money.  They pluck my nerves! McDonalds and WalMart are always hiring. Go find a job loser!

-I really want to participate in Kendi's 30 for 30 Challenge but I'm having a horrible time trying to pick out 30 items to remix.  I think I'm at 26 items at the moment.  Surprisingly, 30 items of clothing is ALOT!

-I have a deep attachment to my old bedroom slippers.  They have holes and everything in them.  Crazy part is, I have a new pair (my mom gets me new ones every Christmas) but I'm just not ready to parts ways with the old heads yet.
-McDonald's serves Oatmeal.  WTH!? Pretty soon you're gonna be able to get whole boxes of cereal in the drive-thru!
DRIVE THRU PERSON: Welcome to McDonalds...order when you're ready.
ME: Um yes, may I have a LARGE box of Special K please.
Awesome
-I purchased 3 pairs of winter boots for $30! Gotta love winter sales!

-Pandora rocks!!! You can create your own stations so that you can listen to all of your absolute favorite songs! The best part is that it's FREE!

-Blueberry bagels with Strawberry cream cheese! Yum!

-Having a girls day lunch with mom, sister, and grandma! Words can't even describe how awesome that was!

-Beating the Kane and Lynch: Dead Men game with the BF.  Never knew how much fun the Playstation could be. Now I understand how and why guys can pop Madden into the Playstation and play with the fellas for hours...it's addictive man! And it makes for great bonding time. Can't wait til he and I can find another game to conquer!

-Big scarves...like these...

-Slowly but surely cleaning out my closet and I'm selling some items!!! FREE SHIPPING!!! Email me at thriftyandshameless@gmail.com if  you're interested!

Let's Talk About....SALT!!

Word on the Street is that I'm hosting my very first linky party today!! I'm extending a huge invite to all of my blogger friends to come and share your thoughts and ideas about any new (or old) movies you've seen, good books that you've read, great places that you've visited, or anything cultural and artsy. Share your experiences with me! I would LOVE to have you! You may join the party by doing the following:

1. COPY this button and place it somewhere on your page;otherwise your post will be deleted.

Photobucket

2. Click on the "Click here to enter" button at the bottom.

3. In the "Link Title" section, put your name/blog title.

4. In the "Link" section, leave the link to your post.

5. Check out the other links and make sure to visit me again next week. While you're at it, tell your friends to stop by for some of this Wednesday goodness. LINKY PARTY WILL CLOSE SUNDAY @ 11:59PM.

Each week the BF and I try to view at least one new movie...what with a movie date bordering on 50 bucks, we would rather save money, pop our own popcorn and get in our snuggly clothes for a REDBOX special feature. This past week we saw SALT starring the ever so beautiful, Angelina Jolie (has her last name changes to Pitt yet). The story is centered around a Russian President who is to be assassinated.  The name of the assassin: Evelyn Salt, who also happens to be a CIA agent.  When her boss catches wind of her suspicious actions, she goes on the run.  Although the action and adventure began around the 20 minute mark, the excitement began to wear down towards the ending.  I did, however, love looking at Angelina though-there is something so mysterious about her!

My rating-7/10

I Got Stripes Around My Shoulders...

My Breton Stripes and Thrifty Necklace made with a refashioned silver chain and random keys I found laying around the house!!

What a terrific Tuesday (that was all the way sarcastic)!!! Since the start of the year, I've been consciously trying to live a healthier lifestyle by maintaining my workout ritual and of course by eating better.  So today's Top 2 Tuesday fits right in with my new year's vows!  We are discussing healthy recipes and snack ideas.  My top 2 are as follows:

Pretzels
a low calorie snack for those who stay on the go!

AND

Pasta Salad
...this post totally reminded me that I have to make pasta  salad tonight!  This meal is also low in calories and very wholesome too!  You can add chicken or shrimp to it and throw in some extra spicery to give it a little kick! Also add all the veggies that your heart desires-this makes for a very colorful and festive presentation.  Speaking of color, my Color Brigade outfit is serving a double duty today.  While adding a little color into my outfit I decided that I should find some Breton Stripes to participate in the party over at Everybody, Everywear.  Cheers to navys and greys, greens and whites, baby blues and thrifty accessories, tussled hair and breton stripes!!!

Have a lovely day my friends and don't forget to join me tomorrow for 'Word on the Street Wednesday' where you can gossip about your favorite movie, book, concert, etc. that has been on your agenda recently.  Thanks for reading!!

Everday is My Day...I Do it MY WAY...Everyday!!!

It's Monday...I'm cold and I'm dragging my feet!  I hope everyone had a beautimous weekend!  Mine was gorgeous aside from the fact that I didn't get to visit Bath and Body Works to use my coupon for a FREE traveling size lotion.  I had been planning all weekend to go and of course with work and studying, time got away from me.  It sucks because those type of do dads make for good stocking stuffers and impromptu gifts for special occasions.  I DID, however, get to use my FREE rental coupon at REDBOX. (Yes, I AM a coupon collector! My BF thinks that it's hilarious, but I say it's all about being 'thrifty'!) Might I add, that Redbox is the greatest invention since sliced bread!!  It's convienient and it's wildly inexpensive.  For 7 bucks, I can rent a different movie for each night.  The best part about it is that you can rent from one location and return at a totally different location if you happen to be running errands for the day.  I LOVES it and will continue to be a faithful Redboxer.  By the way, I rented Salt; I will be sure to tell you how it was on Wednesday when I host 'Word On The Street Wednesday', my new linky party where you can share movies you've watched, good books that you've read, cool new music that you've heard (or concerts you've attended), or even awesome artwork that you've seen.  I'm oh so excited about that!  Another thing I'm excited about is Everyday, Everywear, something new created by my bloggirlfriends Linda and Liz.  Each month they will choose a new clothing item and allow their friends out in the blogosphere to post pics detailing how they styled the selected items.  First on the list was Gingham and though it is extremely tough to photograph (because my camera sucks so it comes out looking like a big mass of squiggly lines), here's how I styled mine...

Red AGAIN!!!
Well my friends, I believe that's all...don't forget to come back on Wednesday for 'Word on the Street Wednesday' (please bear with me as I figure this linky thing out) to hear what I thought about the movie 'Salt'.

She's Alright...But She's Not Real...

Happy Friday!!! Today Modly Chic asks us to discuss authenticity and keeping it real!  I say it's the best way to be-100% real!  To become your authentic self begin by knowing yourself.  Understand what you can change and what  you cannot.  Evaluate the events, choices, and people who have contributed to your life.  Understand what guides and motivates yo;u throughout life.  Discover your strengths, and ultimately your weaknesses.  Have the courage to acknowledge your limitations and embrace your vulnerability.  Gain the confidence to be humble.  Choose to be happy with yourself.  Express yourself authentically.  Do what you say. Do who you are...

1. Most readers and fellow fashion bloggers value authenticity in the blogs they read. How would you describe blog/blogger authenticity? Just keeping it real, basically.  Staying true to yourself and not portraying someone that you are not.  When I read other blogs, I like to feel that I can relate on some level.

2. When it comes to your blog how do you infuse it with that true/authentic feeling?  I say what I want!! I post about things that I’m interested in.  That doesn’t always mean that everyone else will be interested but that’s what makes us all unique! I love writing also, so I try to make things as entertaining as possible by throwing a some of my sarcasm and humor into the mix.

3. Have you stopped following a blog in the last three months? Wellllll…I’m still considered a newbie! I have a shit ton of blogs that I follow and can only get around to visiting a limited number per day.  I’m sure that once I get more of a feel for things, I will snatch a couple of people off of my list-either because they don’t post regularly or because the content is no longer interesting to me.

4. We can't communicate effectively on our blogs, something we don't live in real life...what are some ways you try to live an authentic life? By remaining loyal and genuine in my everyday relationships, of course. I’m an introvert by nature, so this is kinda like my release, an on-line journal so to speak.  On the flip side, I love planning events, hosting parties, and gathering with my close friends for a good time.  I just try to engage in things that I enjoy most and build relationships/friendships with people that complement me.

5. Give a shout-out...Which bloggers do you think are truly genuine and why? I haven’t gotten much of a chance to collaborate with a lot of bloggers one-on-one but those that do come to mind are Words and Wardrobes, The Daybook, Modly Chic, Blog Fashion, and Kendi Everyday all because they have great style and appear to be genuine and very down to earth gals!

NEXT UP!!!

This is one of my favorite happens to be one of my favorite linky parties because it gives me a chance to tell you guys more about myself with random and fun facts!!  Come join in the fun over at The Little Things We Do.

1. My favorite quote is....gosh, I have soooo many. I love ALL of them listed here.

2. A bad habit I have is...eating after 8pm!  I honestly try my hardest not to eat immediately before I go to bed but most days-after going to class and running errands-I don't get home until late so I'm not left with many options. I WILL NOT GO TO BED HUNGRY!!!

3. The first time I felt like a "grown up" was...when I paid my very first insurance note and I was forced to make my own doctors appointments.  That's definitely a sign that you're getting up there!

4. Weekends are...supposed to be spent relaxing-maybe cleaning or doing fun DIY projects or maybe even hanging out with friends.  My weekends are usually spent-working. SO BLAH!!

5.  When I was a child, I wished my name was...Lisa!!! I don't know why-it just sounded so grown up and sophisticated. Like everyone with the name Lisa was automatically gorgeous.  I would love to see the response to this question 10 years from now. What with people naming their children Amillion, Heaven, and Miracle, I'm almost afraid of what the answers would be!!

6. I wish...that I could plan huge events, be a stylist, write a book, have an endless supply of money...the list could go on until forever!

7. A secret I have is...that if I told you, it wouldn't be a secret anymore, now would it!?

Welp that's it bloggers and bloggermen.  Thanks for reading!

Pretty as a Picture...Sweeter than a Swisher

Ahh...its' Thursday....Awesome and Awkward Thursday to be exact! One day before the weekend..3 days before I have to start yet another work week and do this thing all over again!  Sooooo, let's get right into it:

Awkward:
-There is absolutely no tolerance in the school system for disciplining kids anymore...some of them just need a good arse whipping because they are bad as (insert word of choice here)!!!
-I saw Dinner for Schmucks the other night and it was awful-the only reason I rented it is because Steve Carrell (from The Office) has a leading role and surprisingly he just didn't do it for me!
-Random interaction with the 'baby momma'!! Someone PLEASE send me some etiquette tips on how to deal with this sensitive issue!
-People telling you to 'come in' when the door is locked! Don't you remember that you locked the door behind you dummy!
-Trying to plan a 'girls nite' for my girlfriend's birthday and not even the birthday girl showed up...what's that about!?

Awesome:
-Morning sex!!!!
-It's one day before the weekend!
-Getting complimented on my style of dress and being asked, "So where do you shop?".  Does the response "Everywhere" suffice or should I give a full, detailed list?
-Special K-Fruit and Yogurt Cereal
-American Idol Auditions-the premiere was last night!!!  It's sooo entertaining to see the different levels of hot mess that people come up with!
-Little Black Dresses!

And that's it!  I'm quite sure I have some more Awesome and Awkward moments that I can't recall at the moment so I will just save them for next week.  But I will leave you with this because everyone loves a little black dress!

My Little Black Dress

This isn't the full view of the dress but it's soooo adorable. I paired it with a studded belt cinched at the waist and I added a splash of color with a zebra print bracelet! Hell, I really don't do dresses but I gained a new found love for them when the BF kissed me and told me that I looked like a doll baby! I went out with my bestie Khadejah in this ensemble.  You will hear more about our escapades in the future!

They Say Time Flies....Mine is First Class!

Happy Tuesday friends!!! Welcome back from the long weekend! Although it was much needed, I got absolutely NOTHING done...my closet still looks like a tornado hit it and I have yet to organize my things for tax season.  Whew...time sure does know how to fly!!  Nevertheless, I'm going to continue on with life and slowly but surely work towards my goal of organizing my things.  Today is TOP 2 TUESDAY, a feature hosted by my blogger girlfriend over at The Undomestic Momma.  The subject for this week is: 'Top 2 Outfits you're loving for the Spring'. Ohhh man, the possibilities are endless.  I could go on forever about the things I love for spring-it reminds me of this yin yang sign I have tattooed on my hand-its a complete balance of greatness!  It's not overly warm, so you can get away with gorgeous linen pants, yet it's not too cold so you can still wear cutesy dresses and tanks and add layers to them if it gets breezy.  While it was hard to choose, I picked THIS:

Madewell's Spring 2011 Lookbook

(I am a sucker for pairing menswear items with feminine pieces!!!)
and I also chose THIS:

(Even though I don't wear many skirts, I love the look of flowy skirts with subtle detailing and bright colors.)

On to my Color Brigade for the week; I know the pictures are hella old but I don't want my outfit pics to be a total waste, so here goes nothing:

I love, love, love these leopard capri's because they are so versatile! Whoever knew that Walmart would become my one-stop shop!? I could've soooo done without the leopard bag though; maybe a black one would've been better but hey practice makes perfect!

I Got 99 Problems....But a Blog Ain't ONE!!

TGIF!!! The ode to a wonderful weekend!  I've been searching different blogs and I found soooo much cool stuff to do with my blog-all of which include participating in massive community links such as Friend Friday, Fill in the Blank Friday, Five ? Friday, Top 2 Tuesday, Color Brigade, and one of my favorites, Awesome and Awkward Thursday, which was created by the ever so lovely Syd over at The Daybook.  I'm sooooo excited that I don't know where to begin.  Lemme just start with those things specifically set aside for Fridays!!!

FIRST UP....this week for Friend FridayModlyChic is discussing outfit planning-something that I am horrible at! This should be interesting.

1. How do you determine what you will wear that day? I actually try to think about my outfit choice on the night before, that way I'm not creating a pigsty in my room when I go to get ready for work.  This give me at least an extra 15 minutes.

2. Do you plan outfits out in advance for a whole week, month, weekend? I could never plan that far in advance, because what if I change my mind?- I'm famous for being indecisive.

3. Do you have any specific way of tracking outfits and items already worn so you don't repeat? I can usually remember what I wore for the last week but honestly as long as I don't wear the exact same pieces together over a weeks time period, I don't even care! There are sooo many ways to remix an outfit, that no one will ever know the difference!

4. How do you discover new combinations of items in your closet?  It really depends on how I feel.  Most times I just go through my closet and pick out my most favorite colors for the day and not matter what it is I roll with it.  I also have an inspiration scrapbook which includes pages magazine photos or articles that display things that I like.  And of course I get inspired from the loads of bloggers that I follow.

5. To streamline the process for 2011 what is one new thing you can do to cut down your dressing time? Continue to plan my outfits the day before and go one step further and iron them so my outfit is etched in stone-i hate ironing by the way!

NEXT UP is Five ? Friday, created by Jessie at My Little Life.  This will help all of my followers get to know me a little better.

1. What movie could you watch over and over again and not get tired of? SET IT OFF-it focuses on friendship, loyalty, and trust, and the whole plot is centered around a bank robbery.
2. What's your biggest pet peeve right now?Simple a$$ people that make awkward sounds when they eat!
3. If you had to describe your best friend in five words or less, what would you say?Hilarious, loyal, beautiful
4. If you did not have to worry about money or go to school what would you do for a living?Event Planning
5. What is your one "splurge" item, that you will always buy, no matter the cost?A vacation!

THIRD and LASTLY-This blog wouldn't be a blog without an outfit post...sooooo, I'm gonna play a little Color Brigade with Kileen.  Its a super cool outfit feature where all of the participants are challenged to create an outfit using just 3 colors.  Since I'm a color fanatic, I felt that it would only be right if I put my 2 cents in.

This picture is soooo cheesy!! I work with children so alot of my pics will be taken inside my classroom with random construction paper, projector screens, and glue bottles in the background.  Sorry but it is what it is!!  I love, love, love this cardigan-I got it at least 6 years ago from Old Navy for 97 cents when they used to have their killer clearance sales.  I wear it with absolutely EVERYTHING! Even though this fit looked great on me, it was a little to matchy for me-this must've been one of the random days that we were asked to wear red, white, and blue. OBVIOUSLY!!

Anywho! Thanks for reading!!

All I Need in this Life of Sin...is me and my Boyfriend!!

I vowed that I would get better at this...right!?  Said I would get it together and have yet to post a single thing! I know, I know, I'm a horrible blogger!  My schedule has just been majorly hectic but I'm working on it.  I've decided that while I'm working out the logistics of being a better blogger, I would at least post some of my previously taken photos so that you may keep yourselves entertained in the meantime!

I happen to love the look and feel of this fit.  I was in a rush and just threw something together and this is what I came up with.  All of the pieces are sooo comfy and can be remixed and worn with some of everything.  I especially love the boyfriend jeans because they fit so marvelously AND I scored them for a whopping $5.99 from NY & Co.  I think it's funny because I purchased these way before the 'boyfriend' fit was even a hit and then all of a sudden-WHAM-boyfriend jeans are the new trend!  Any why do they call them 'boyfriend jeans' anyhow?

A Milli..A Milli..A Milli-How Do I Match Up?!

So I'm new to this blogosphere-thinger-ma-bobber! In fact, I look at other blogs so much that I barely have time to focus on my own.  When I saw this cool Friend Friday post over at ModlyChic I decided to get involved just to make my presence known and to participate in all the hoopla.  In the post she talks about 'Blog Envy' and how your blog compares or stands out among the rest. Here's my 5 cents:

1. Have you ever looked at someone's blog and thought yours will never measure up? OMG! Of course I have! There are some really creative, stylish people out there and then I look at lil 'ole me and think that no one would ever be interested in what I had to say.  However, seeing these other blogs has not only inspired me but it has motivated me to share my creativity with the world.

2. Do you (did you) feel pressure to meet some kind of undefined standard for fashion bloggers? I do feel some sort of pressure to get lots of followers.  I look at some blogs that have been around for a while and ask myself what I have to do to get high numbers.  But as with anything, it takes time to be successful-it ain't gonna happen overnight!

3. Many established fashion bloggers are also extraordinary DIYers, bakers, and crafty people. Do you think you need to combine all of these things to be successful at blogging? Though I am talented at all of the above, time won't allow me to multitask quite that much.  Nevertheless, I definitely don't think that being a 'jack of all trades' so to speak will make you anymore successful. Having interesting content in one subject matter can create just as much success for the person who is dedicated to that one thing.
