Hey...Oh Let's Do It!!

Ahh...tis the season for a new day.  It's a new month, a new week, and I got a new attitude!  All that, PLUS it's the very first day of the 30 for 30 challenge. This is the very first wardrobe challenge that I've participated in and I'm hoping that I didn't bite off more than I can chew!! Got my camera back in working order so I can now disclose the final item that I had picked out for the challenge.  Just so happened this little mama was in the wash when I was taking photos so I missed her! Anyways, this is the lost one-the grey cardigan pictured below. So since it's already out of the closet, pressed, and ready to wear, I will start my challenge off with it! I feel like I'm gonna get a lot of wear out of this NY & Co. number over the next 30 days and for a whopping 8 bucks it was well worth it!

This whole outfit, with the exception of the black blazer is NY & Co. and will serve as my Color Brigade fit for the week as well.  I love these pieces and decided to add them for this challenge because they are so versatile and can be worn with almost everything in my closet! LOVES 'EM!!! Now for my favorite part of this post...drumroll please....Top 2 Tuesday.  This week begins the start of the 'Top 2 Tuesday Series' and the first topic is 'Things You've Learned About Friendship'. I only happen to have a handful of really close friends, however they are soooo dear to me so this topic is one that I could talk about for days! In particular, I've learned that...

1. Friendship should be valued. Everyone is not your friend and should not automatically be given the title of being so. Most people you meet in your life are mere acquaintances...nothing more, nothing less! So many times I've heard the term 'best friend' that I've almost forgotten what it means myself. A best friend means soo much more than knowing a person for a number of years or being a person that you hang out and party with on the weekends.

2. Just like flowers, friendships need to be watered in order to grow. When you meet someone they don't instantly become your friend-that takes time-it's the experiences, tribulations, tears shed in heartfelt conversation, disclosure of confidential information without questioning the loyalty of the other person. Friendship, just like love, should be unconditional.

As I said before I could go on for days about this subject but I'm gonna leave it be for now. Go on over to The Undomestic Momma to leave your two cents. And also visit Kileen to participate in the Color Brigade! Lastly, tomorrow is 'Word on the Street Wednesday'. Come on over and lemme know about your favorite movie, book, or event of the week.  Have a great Tuesday. See ya tomorrow for 2/30!

Thanks for reading!
