Belt Tricks: 3 Helpful Rules...

Good Wednesday loves...

I hope your week is going great thus far. Mine is actually going by rather quickly. I'm patiently awaiting my best friend's arrival to town so I'm super excited about that. I just wanted to do a quick outfit post since I have yet to post one. Today's outfit is all about this belt and my undying love for all things associated with them. I don't usually follow fashion rules but I have found some helpful little tricks that make styling my belts really fun.

  • Trick #1: Find the right position-this may be lower or higher than your natural waistline. I usually like mine to sit right below the 'girls'
  • Trick #2: Pick a color-you may either choose to blend or contrast it with your #OOTD
  • Trick #3: Choose elastic-when in doubt, always choose a belt with elastic. Not only do they stretch, but they're insanely comfortable

Belts may feel odd, especially when you are not used to wearing them. I personally can't live without them. Please feel free to share any other 'belt wearing' tricks that you have found helpful.

Thanks for reading!
XOXOXO

  2. love your tips on wearing a belt! i think it's totally right you need to check where you like it best. i personally like a belt a little below my natural waist b/c i have such a short torso.

    1. I usually wear my belts below my natural waistline-especially when wearing low rise bottoms

  3. I didn't make my blue fringe top, it was a great find from winners, I think I'll have to make one though as I'm wearing it out!

  4. Love the tip about making sure your belt has elastic!! So many times I cinched my waist with belts that did not have elastic and ended up paying for it later lol.

    1. Yess!! The elastic has saved my life. It also keeps the belt in place better.

  5. Elastic belts! Of course! I'd forgotten about those! I used to wear them a lot in the 80s...

I came here to comment per your request on FBFF. Looks like you returned to the Blogger default comment system? (That's what I'm commenting on here and not Disqus). Disqus has been functioning fine for me as far as the comment box working. I had installed it for the email notifications of comments and that stopped working for the past couple of weeks. Seems OK now, as far as I can tell. I hate to deinstall, because then I'll lose a year's worth of comments!

    1. I actually just removed the widget from my layout-it doesn't appear that I've lost any comments because of it. Thanks for visiting.
