How To Wear: Crop Tops

Hello and Happy Tuesday to all of you!

I hope your day is off to a more than amazing start.

Since beginning my 'How To Wear' series, I've found that I've completely fallen in love with it. This series gives me a chance to put together items and style various outfits that I may or may not currently have in my closet.

For others this series may serve as inspiration, but for me it serves more as a wish list of things that I would like to have as well as outfits that I am likely to wear or suggest to a client.

Today, I chose to talk about the all too popular trend of crop tops. I have always loved crop tops but have been somewhat opposed to wearing them myself because I happen to think that I have a less than stellar midsection. One of my blogger friends that rocked the snot out of this look however, is Inez from Style Chic 360. She gave me total life with this crop top ensemble.

I believe that the essential key to making this trend work is to pair it with high waisted bottoms. This creates a timeless and classic silhouette. Showing too much midriff when wearing crop tops gives off a somewhat tasteless and 'childlike' look.

The following looks can be worn comfortably and respectively for date night, a concert or festival event, or even girls night out.

What are your secrets for pulling off the crop top trend?

I can't wait to hear from you!

Until then, thanks for reading!
XOXOXOXO
