Savin' Maven Monday: The Shoes on my Feet-I've Bought It...

Good Monday my beauties....

My first matter of business today is to give a very special 'Thank You' to all of my readers for always coming to visit me and taking time to comment on my 'lil blog. Shouts out to all of my bad a$$ followers! You all ROCK! I reached 100 followers at some point this weekend and for me that is HUGE! I hope that I can continue to provide new and interesting material for you to read and comment on. I appreciate you more than you know.

Now...let's get straight down to business.

I'm not sure if all of you have a Target in your area or if you even shop at Target for that matter BUT the  Target here had the most awesomest ---->(definitely just made up another word) clearance sale in all of HISTORY this past week! I'm assuming that they are preparing to move their fall items in. I don't know, I don't even care! As long as they continue to have sales like the one I experienced I'm all about some
Tar-jay!

I've had my eye on these since I first saw Kendi with them on:

Dolce Vita Wedges for Target
However, me being the thrifty chic that I am I wasn't pressed to pay $29.99 for them. Sooooo....I waited!  They eventually went down to 50% off a couple of weekends ago and I 'bout died.  Well, my sister called me at 10:32 on Thursday morning (mind you my sister NEVER calls me at 10:32 in the morning) and told me to get my a$$ to Target immediately because all of the shoes had gone down to 75% off. I died-forreal this time! I made it to the store faster than I blinked 3 times. Katy from ModlyChic asked me just the other day if I had sworn off retail shopping all together soooooo for my very first 'retail' edition of Savin' Maven Monday, here's my haul:

My greatest shopping trip yet!
You guys! OMG! Now I'm not sure if the stores in your area have begun marking things down yet because there are some stores in my area who have yet to mark their things down to 50% off; so if you're a faithful Target shopper, please keep your eyes open for this sale. I got 7, SEVEN, 7 pairs of shoes (I grabbed every shoe that I could find in my size) and a buttload of socks (using most of them for gifts).

My total for this trip was $224.43
My out of pocket total was $63.49
For a total savings of $159.94 (71% savings)

This is alot more than I usually spend on weekly shopping but I thought it was waaayyyyy more than worth it!

Ladies, what do you think?

Did you find any great deals this past week?

  2. It was definitely unbelievable. And they had soo many sizes and styles to choose from. Visit your area Target daily because I don't think they have any particular 'markdown' schedule like most stores do.

  13. I hit this sale last Thursday also!! I was floored and thrilled and got two pairs of fabulous shoes. I almost bought the gold wedges, but... I have 4 pairs of gold wedges so I felt the need to abstain.

  19. Yeah girl make em work. My sister said the same thing but for $7.50 you can't beat it. Hell if you decide that you absolutely can't stand them they would make a helluva gift/giveaway item!

  20. I now have all different colored wedges. So I will be wearing them for a while...even in the fall with socks. I'm not even joking. That sale was to die for wasn't it!?
