How to Wear: Skinny Leg Jeans

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday my loves! I hope every one's day is off to a great start.

I am returning with Part 2 of my How To Wear Jeans Series. If you're interested, you may catch up on Part 1 here.

To be honest, when Skinny Leg jeans first hit the scene a number of years ago, I was not at all a huge fan! However, as time and styles changed, I will admit that I quickly jumped on the bandwagon and now they by far are one of my most coveted styles of denim

I love the fact that they elongate my legs and they add just the right amount of sexy to any given outfit. Though they can be worn with just about anything, there are a few things that I would absolutely stay away from.

Chunky boots and clunky heels for instance, are a huge no-no. They tend to make your feet look super huge and for those of us that do have rather large peds, that's one of the main things that we try to avoid when styling our outfits. Speaking from experience, cowboy boots look absolutely ridiculous with skinny leg denim. Please don't try that one at home.

Instead opt for a knee high style boot, riding boot, or a stunningly eye catching pair of pumps. These options are sure to bring out the best that a skinny leg jean has to offer.

Now it's your turn to chime in.

How do you rock your skinny legs?

I can't wait to hear from you.

Thanks for reading.

Savin' Maven Monday: 1 Boot, 7 Ways...

Hello and happy Monday my dears. I hope each of you had a very well rested yet productive weekend.

I've been on Spring Break for the last 9 days and I can NOT for the life of me get myself together today. I'm beginning to think that I need to figure out a way to make 'full time' money from my shop because punching the clock isn't it for me. My Spring Break really allowed me to hone in on my passion and what it is that truly makes me happy-fashion and saving money.

My Mother told me that when I'm doing that which I love without having or needing to be paid for it, the very thing that doesn't feel like work, then I know I've found my passion.

Now I have to begin to make it work for me.

Okay....whew....

Enough of the philosophical drama, lets get down to what you really came here for.

About a week or so ago, I introduced you all to a new series, called Budget Style Tips, that I would feature here on Monday's when I didn't have a DIY project.

So here's Tip #1...

1 Boot, 7 Ways

I'm such a fan of making the most out of my wardrobe and maximizing what I have.

These boots were a costly (in my opinion, because you all know that I'm frugal) investment for me so I promised myself that I would wear these babies until the soles fell OUT!!

I love that these Arturo Chiang riding boots are somewhat neutral in color, allowing me to mix and match them with lots of different colors, patterns, and silhouettes.

What I love even more is that if I had a vacation or roadtrip to go on, I could pack this here pair of boots and be set for a whole week. I was able to successfully style 7 different outfits using one lone pair of boots. These boots alone prevent the need for extra carry on bags containing useless garments of clothing-now that's what I call an investment piece.

Being that this style of boot is a classic piece and won't be going out of style anytime soon, I am even able to pair them with skirts, dresses, and cutoffs. Maybe I'll try that for my next Budget Style Tip assignment.

Until then, here are 3 of my favorite styled outfits using this riding boot.

My Obsession With Pink Pants...

Pretty Lace and Green Baubles...

Equestrian Flair...

What one 'remixable' item in your closet would you take with you on a 7 day vacation?

I can't wait to hear from you.

Thanks for reading!
XOXOXOXOXO

Savin' Maven Monday: Budget Style Tips

Happy Monday my loves!
I hope each of you had a very wonderful and productive weekend.
I was finally able to relax for a change-needless to say, I didn't post anything in the shop, I didn't do any fun DIY projects, and I didn't hang out with friends-just plain ole relaxation mode.
I really look forward to creating weekly DIY projects but this week I just didn't have the energy.
Since most of my readers look forward to my regular Monday posts, I figured I would fill this spot with 'Budget Style Tips' when I don't have a DIY project to post.
So here goes nothing....
Introducing....
This series will cover my shopping habits and tips, as well as answer shopping/style questions from you, my readers.
So get your questions ready and ask on! Go ahead, ask me anything.
Within this series, I'm also looking to feature some of my favorite budget fashionistas.
That means YOU!!!
If you have questions and/or you would just like to share your latest budget savvy OOTD, please feel free to email me at thriftyandshameless@gmail.com.
I look forward to getting your questions and submissions.
Thanks for reading.
XOXOXOXO
