Trendy Tuesday: Miss Nice Watch...

Hello and Happy Tuesday my loves!

I hope everyone is off to a great start today.

It's rainy and dreary in my area so all I really wanna do is cuddle up next to my honey and watch a great movie.

Buttttt....it's not a perfect world so I think I'll just be satisfied with blogging. After all, it is my favorite day of the blog week.

That's right...more Trendy Tuesday!!

Lately, I've become obsessed with watches. Big ones, small ones, neutral and colored ones, even the ones that don't necessarily work are fine with me. Speaking of the ones that don't work-isn't it funny how people don't ever stop to ask you for the time until the moment you wear your batteryless (<----definitely a made up word) watch. Thennn when aimlessly stare at your wrist struggling to come up with an answer they look at you as if you're a dumb imbecile who never learned to tell time in grade school. Go figure-this happens to me all the time.

I guess it's about time for me to replace the batteries in my watches, ya think!?

Anyhow, I'm definitely putting one of these babies on my Christmas wish list. Problem is, I don't know which one I like better. I do know that I'm favoring the men's style in particular-the ones with the big faced bezels. Though diamonds are a girls' best friend-I've never really been a blinged out type of girl. I really love this all black one though-it's right up my alley-classy, oxymoronic, and very pleasing to the eye.   Then, I like the brown one too-it's just really pretty and different. Ahhh! The red one-actually the description listed it as being coral-is so edgy with the 'gunmetal' studs. And of course, the diamond encrusted ones are sooooo pretty.

Can you tell that I'm having a hard time deciding!?

Pocket Squares...

Yay!!! It's Thursday my loves.
For some of us that means time to go back to work and for others, you lucky souls, it means that you have an extra, super duper extended weekend!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their time off on the 4th-eating lots of great cookout food and spending time with family and friends. I spent most of my day enjoying some uninterrupted quality time with my favorite dude so that was definitely the highlight of my day off. Since we've both been working extra hours at our jobs we kinda just lounged around. I didn't even get to capitalize on the chance to wear any of my 'Independence Day' inspired clothing items but oh well. This outfit post will have to suffice.

If you all have been following then you are well aware of my reluctance to wear any type of skirt. I prefer short ones, if any, but definitely not midis. I'm not sure what it is about them. Because my body structure is so boxy-no hips, no definitive waistline-I just don't think that they are too flattering on me. However, I decided to give this one a try for no other reasons than these:

#1... It has pockets. I die when I find pocketed skirts and dresses.

#2... It's my absolute favorite shade of red

#3...I was able to pair these great accessories with it. Sidenote: I couldn't decide on which watch to wear, so I ended up wearing them both.

#4...These $8 platform wedges gave the look just the rustic, vintage feel I was going for.

#5...The squares of this shirt paired with this gold/silver mixed necklace made me ever so happy.

#6...This $.99 thrifted belt sealed the deal. It's such a statement piece!

Even with the pairing of some great accessories, I'm still on the fence about my feelings towards midi skirts.

How do you feel about midi skirts in general?
And what do you think of mine?

Thanks for reading.
